She was a good sport. Her boyfriend wanted her to play a game during the second intermission of the Syracuse Crunch hockey game. The game, Puck Drop, required her to put on a blind fold while he called out directions to the bag on the ice to drop the puck in.
Being a good sport, she agreed. Probably to humor him. Imagine her surprise after she successfully dropped the puck into the bag and removed her blindfold to see him kneeling before her with a diamond ring in his hand and a question on his lips. After a minute of shock, she said, “Yes!”.
The young woman while still in a state of euphoria even agreed to have her photo taken with team mascots, Tully the Turtle and Crunchman.
What a magical night, the Crunch even won in a shutout over the Rochester Americans, 1-0. This left all the Crunch fans nearly as happy as the newly engaged couple.
