Ah, summer…a time to enjoy the outdoors and to get reacquainted with the largest celestial object in our sky, the Sun. I tried to find the quintessential summer photo(s) over the last few weeks. Here is what I came up with.
Give kids a water hose on a hot day and all kinds of fun breaks out.

Talk about your Dog Days of Summer, even dogs had a tough time finding ways to stay cool.

One of my wife and mine’s favorite things to do each summer is visit the numerous seasonal ice cream stands around central New York. Last weekend, we drove the Ford Mustang up to Sweet Inspirations Drive-In near Fulton, New York. I enjoyed a strawberry sundae with hard vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and nuts.

Remember my issues with finding a good summer sunset? I think I finally found a couple of good ones.

Ah, and here is what I would define as the perfect ending to a hot summer day, cooling off in the waters of Lake Ontario with friends and family.

So, what do you think of my photos for the Summertime Assignment?
I’ll paraphrase C+C Music Factory’s “classic” by saying “things that make you go ahhhhhh”! Nice and relaxing photos about the great parts of summer!

These summertime photos are the best, Scott. You highlighted summer in such a way that I am now wishing it wasn’t 50 degrees and raining. My favorite is that swimming sunset. But they’re all really good photos.
