Future World

Walt Disney first proposed the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow or EPCOT in a famous episode of Disney’s Wonderful World of Color television show in the late 1960’s. A little over a decade later, EPCOT Center as it was first called opened as a scaled back version from Walt’s original concept.

Epcot introduced the term Edutainment as each pavilion sought to educate as well as entertain. Over the years, the pavilions have evolved more towards entertainment. What has not changed is the futuristic architecture of Future World.

While Epcot is not what Walt wanted it to be, it still embodies the spirit of human invention and ingenuity.

These are very nice photos, especially the last one, with its good mix of lines and colors.

BTW, how are the weather in your area today, any snow lately? 😉
