Congrats! Was this the winning photo?
I couldn’t find the link to the contest, but didn’t REALLY have time to look yet.

No…it was one of her leave a comment contests. She liked what I left in response to her question on what my favorite lens is. I used this photo last year as a View but felt it fitting to re-post after I found I had won.
Thanks, Susan! Your dog photos are fantastic!
Sorrentolens, I really like this one. Here’s the link to the story behind it.

Congrats Scott! Found you via PW, then read somewhere on your site you’re a Canadiens fan, too? Now there’s a guy with great taste in hockey teams. Are you a Montrealer too? Great site, and I’ll have to add you to my blogroll.
Cheers!

Hey! Congratulations! I’m just entering the photography world…my husband recently gave me a Canon EOS 20D with a 18-200 lens when my compact died a premature death. I’m having a blast but I really don’t know what I’m doing even though I usually manage to get some good shots, thanks to automatic settings! I’ve seen a couple of pics on your blog that I’d like to know more about…what lens you used and stuff like that. I’ll see if I can get back to them over the weekend and comment on the specific posts. Great photos!

Hey there Scott, from your fellow PW winner! I am still in shock! Thanks for stopping by my humble blog and saying “hi”. And what a coincidence that you had a bad month too!? Seems a higher force was at work here… we both definitely needed a lift this month. And I have no clue what I’ll spend my winnings on! I was all set that I would not be buying anything photography related this year- but strike that! I’ve had my eye on a nice 100mm macro lens… hmmm. 😉
Congrats again and I hope you get something cool too! Your blog ROCKS. 🙂

Whoa! Congratulations! Thanks, too, for introducing me to PW. BTW I got a D300! What a camera. Nikon just keeps getting better.

Yeah, yeah, Mitch. It was bound to happen one day. Though the Cards winning would have been sweeter. Next time!
Jess, the lift we both got will hopefully turn 2009 around before it gets started. Enjoy picking out something from the B&H catalog. A photographer’s wonderland of gear.
Thanks, Birgitte and MJ!
Mariah, your husband has good taste in lenses. It was my comment about my Nikon 18-200VR which won at PW. Leave a comment on any photo you have a question about and I’ll give you the scoop on them.

Congratulations, I love these kind of pictures, I have yet to try it. Can you give me some pointers on how to catch that? I have a wedding coming up and I would like to try one of those photos, I think.

Hey Scott – I found you by way of Shrew’s Daily Shutters and Half Hour a Day, and I’ve been peaking in without saying too much (a few comments here and there). But this photo definitely got my attention. I love it. It takes place in one of my favorite backdrops and I love the excitement it shows.
