Back in August, I shared a very long exposure of Upper Pinnacle Falls in Fillmore Glen State Park near Moravia, New York. Today, I share a High Dynamic Range image as Autumn descended on the park.  The colors last weekend were predominantly golden yellows and oranges. With Beech trees changing first along the Gorge Trail in the park, yellows mixed in with unchanged greens of maples and oaks.

I was in the park for the Fall Colors at Fillmore Glen Photo Tour and enjoyed teaching and talking photography with the six participants. It was a beautiful day and a lot of great images were created by the group. Below, I photographed one student at Upper Pinnacle Falls working his magic.

This was a location I suggested and he was pleased with the photos he got there. With wet and cold weather coming this week, it might mean an early end to this year’s autumn photography season in upstate New York.
