High School Graduation is a rite of passage here in the United States.

High School Graduation is a rite of passage here in the United States.

It is high school graduation party season.  Since the end of June, I have seen many parties and yesterday was my turn to enjoy a family graduation party.  My cousin’s son whom I have never really gotten to know was celebrating his accomplishments of his life to this point.  The party featured what I call the Brag Wall.  This is the place the proud parents display their prodigy’s photos, awards, and accomplishments.  I always enjoy browsing and, in this case, photographing these displays.  To get to known a little bit about the person before their next step into adulthood.  Good luck, cousin!

The collage and graphics were done at Picnik.com.

    Congratulations to the young Graduate.
A brag wall! That’s a good idea. I’d browse through it, too.
The red and white mosaic is fine. Something in it makes me curious: What is the little white thing close to the ball in the lower right corner?
Your post makes him a little more known Scott.
If you tag his name, he can google himself and find this post…

    • Don’t worry, the graduate will be informed of this post along with all the other photos I took.

That “white thing” is an outline of an American football helmet to show his love of sports. He played in football and wrestling as well as raced a dirt bike.

Very cool idea! I’ll have to keep it in mind for when it will be my turn to throw this sort of party in 3 short years! (Can hardly believe that! Where’d my little girls go?)
I have a question too: how do you make these mosiac style shots? Is this something you do with WordPress or in some other program. I also noticed the very nice “summer” one over there on your Flickr pics.

    • Tell me about it…both my girls are out of college now and pursuing careers.

I just added the information of where I created the collage for this post. There are a few other online places you can do this with. Like Picnik.com, BigHugeLabs can connect up with your flickr photostream to create them.
