Snowdrop wildflowers

Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) are the first flowers to bloom each spring around the house.  The green and white flower brings welcome color to the drab browns and pre-growth grass of the surrounding lawns and forests.

Is Spring weather here to stay?  I hope so as I put the snowblower away for the season and cleaned up the yard all weekend long.

Another beautiful photo with the promise of spring! You may have jinxed us by putting the snowblower away – let’s hope not! Keep up the journal – I look forward to it every week.

Thanks for popping by my site again. The day after I look my snowdrops, we had the heaviest snow fall in south of England for 18 years!
