I am very pleased to announce the date and time of the opening reception for a Photo Exhibit I was asked to do for Hospice of CNY. Hospice made a big difference during the last few weeks of my sister’s battle with brain cancer two years ago. They were also a great comfort on the day she passed away.
When I was approached to provide photos for a show in their offices near Syracuse, New York, I was very happy to do so. Then I found out that would require upwards to 60 hanging photos, I quickly asked the help of the Syracuse Photographer Association members. They were happy to pitch in.
Hospice of CNY is very excited for this show which will feature people, places and things in and around central New York. The photos will be bright, colorful and cheerful.
If you live around Syracuse, you are invited to the opening reception which will be held next Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the offices of Hospice of CNY (see banner for address). Refreshments and snacks will be provided. This is a great opportunity to see the works of some of the finest photographers in our area.
*THIS* is VERY exciting! Congratulations Scott! Wish I was a wee bit closer, I’d come have a look. 🙂

Thanks…it is more of a give back to the people who work for Hospice. Only open to the public during the reception. Though they do have lots of healthcare professionals come for training and seminars for the two months the show will be hanging.

Congratulations, Scott! I wish I could be there. Hospice provided good care and a lot of comfort when my mother was dying of lung cancer. It’s a worthy cause.
Best of luck with your show. 🙂

Congrats Scott, this is such an honor. Hospice provided great care for my mom before her passing and I remembered how much she had loved her hospice nurse that visited her on a regular basis until the end. They are wonderful people and a worthy cause indeed.

Most of the photos…I think all of the ones I choose to show have been featured on the blog at one time or another. I will get some photos of the show.
We hung the show a couple of days ago and have betting good reviews from the people who work at Hospice of CNY. Hoping for a good turnout tonight.
