Celebrate with me as I post my 200th weekly view. Appropriate enough, it is a scene from Walt Disney World.
For special park parties and some special events, they produce a special version of Wishes with perimeter fireworks which surround Main Street USA. HalloWishes is such a show which occurs during a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
HalloWishes finale featuring perimeter fireworks in the Magic Kingdom. Nikon D700/Tokina 11-16mm, 7.5s, f/11, ISO 200, EV 0, 16mm focal length, 3 Stop (0.9) ND filter, tripod.

As many times I’ve been blessed to view the ‘special’ fireworks at Disney, I still ‘oooh’ and ‘aaah’ like the first time. Nicely done, Scott.

P.S. Did you ever make it to Epcot last night? The crowds finally thinned after 9:00pm. We watched illuminations from a fantastic spot inside Tokyo Dining. Never tire of that show! 🙂

I was there over in Future World. Caught some of the fireworks behind the Imagination pavilion. I stayed away from World Showcase because of the crowds. Watching from inside Tokyo Dining was a good idea!
I went to Magic Kingdom after Illuminations to meet up with some other photographers until closing.

We thought about heading over to MK afterwards but, well, let’s just say with the chilly breeze along the shoes I was wearing we decided it was better to walk the Boardwalk. 😉

Nice shot, I see you used your ND filter. Is that something you do for all fireworks?

I did on this trip. Even with the ND filter, I left the shutter open too long here. 1 to 3 seconds would have been better so as not to blow out the fireworks over the castle.
