I remember the Falling Rock warnings along the highways of New York! For a kid from Wisconsin, those were a revelation. It had never occurred to me that mountains might shed.

LOL…that’s one way to look at it. So far I have only seen the after effects of a fallen rock and not witnessed the event.

Taughannock Falls is taller than Niagara Falls with a 215 foot drop. It’s one of the tallest falls east of the Mississippi River.

I probably wouldn’t have noticed the sign until after I turned around to look back once I’d walked up to the falls. I speak from recently experience, having walked on ice dunes and saw the signs warning me not to when I finished. My attention-deficit may get me killed one day.
Beautiful falls and I love the angle at which you included the sign.

The HDR Image looks like a painting, and what a beautiful ice falls.

The lighting was a bit flat the day I was there. The Sun flirted with coming out but never did. I took a lot of HDR sets as well as single exposures to give me a good selection.

I have to admit, Scott, when I first saw the image, I thought you took it at DAK (‘Everest!’) Looks just like something Disney would do!
Very cool in HDR!
