Christmas Day brings not only the enjoyment of giving and receiving gifts in my home but also one of the best meals of the year.  For years, my parents have shared Christmas morning with us.  After opening our gifts and presents from Santa, the Christmas morning breakfast is prepared.  My parents, both in their 80’s, give us the gift of their skill in making Bacon (my Dad) and Home Fries (my Mom).  Here they are making Christmas morning special.

This is one tradition I hope continues for many more years to come.

As warm and joyful as your parents look I’m sure you will enjoy your treasured family tradition for years to come! I can smell the bacon and taste the homefries and ohboyohboy I wish I could be right there in the kitchen. Merry Christmas, Scott.

Taking a photo of bacon is just cheating. I mean, like, you can’t take a bad photo of bacon, right? 🙂 Nice one. Great, now I’m hankering bacon.

    How wonderful!
Zan and I are also blessed to have all of our parents with us, gracing us with their loving presence. They become more precious to me with each passing year, and I appreciate them more the older I get.

Great bacon picture! You really captured the crispiness that it develops while it cooks. Sounds like a delicious Christmas morning.

  7. Oh man, I smell the bacon and my lips are watering over those home fries. Anna and I have been dieting for the last couple of months… What I would give for some of those fries. My mom and dad are still around as well. How did they get so old so fast?
