What a beautiful and colorful sight. I used to combine New York with skyscrapers. Your photos on this blog has certainly changed that idea. Maybe I should do the same, and show some more photos from this area. Knowledge is the best way to peace, I think. Congrats with the Nobel prize today!

Most of New York is full of beautiful green landscapes, rivers, lakes, mountains and other natural wonders. I am so happy I could change your perception of my state. New York City is a wonder of it’s own but I much prefer where I live.

I like that third one best – I can feel the sun and smell the lake. (Um, for those of you from Away, lakes in western New York and northern Michigan generally smell very nice and fresh. Just in case you were wondering.)
Blogs with a sense of place are gifts. They say, Here, this is my home, this is what I saw today on my daily rounds. What’s it like where you are? I learn a lot from looking at the world through other eyes.

It was a warm fall day which brought the smell and feel of the season. Yes, blogs about places are wonderful as is your Torch Lake. 🙂

Very nice colors! You are getting some pretty Fall views. I am still hoping that we’ll have some here, but this morning the color was white.

When I saw the first photo in the post I thought: “Wow! What great colors!” Then I scrolled down and the two other photos looked so beautiful too. The last one is my favorite, because I like pictures that show things close up… I don’t know why, I just getting close to nature, and seeing things like that… 🙂
